EDF Community Fund
As part of the agreement to build Hinkley Point C, EDF has set up a Community Fund to support community projects with grant funding. There is approximately £9m left out of the initial £20m allocated and further details can be found at the following link:
Councillors Peter Wright, Sue Thomas and Nikki McCoy are the working group formed to consider ideas from residents to submit for grant funding. Please contact them to make your views known. Ideas for projects will be considered but the final decision on which to progress will be the parish council's.

There will be an open meeting between residents, councillors and representatives of Sedgemoor District Council and EDF on Tuesday 4th October 2022 commencing at 19.30.
Please note: the village hall has limited capacity for health, safety and fire regulation reasons
Q&A - EDF and SDC
The parish council is engaging with and continues to engage with EDF and Sedgemoor District Council over the former's plans to convert the accommodation at Pontins for use by Hinkley Point C workers on a temporary (3 years) basis.
The council is planning to invite EDF and SDC to a public meeting where residents will be able to ask questions. Details of this will be announced shortly on this dedicated page.
In the meantime, we are posting a series of question and answers that were posed to representatives of EDF and SDC at a recent councillor briefing. The questions came from both councillors and residents.
